About Us

What We Do

Alcorn Law Corporation provides a wide range of legal services for associations, other non-profit organizations and for-profit organizations. In addition to legal services provided by our firm, we work closely with other law and accounting firms to handle matters regarding special expertise in any area, such as litigation, tax or political law.

We believe regular audits of your governance documents is one of the ways you can minimize your legal expenses and stay ahead of potential problems. Ensuring your articles of incorporation, bylaws and policies are consistent and reflective of current changes in the legal and strategic framework you are operating in is critical, yet easily overlooked. Making sure your chapters or components are up to date and in compliance with the law can save you a lot of headaches.

We are firm believers that knowledge is power. Your staff, board, volunteer leaders and chapter components need regular training to ensure they fully understand their fiduciary duties. We routinely provide board orientation training which includes not only the legal perspective, but also addresses the careful balance of power and division of duties commonly found in high-performance associations.
